Fluxus
The clothing line Fluxus was created in 2007 by Martin Paquette, and takes its name from a Latin word meaning "to flow." It was inspired by one of the most radical and experimental art movements of this century, blurring the lines between all artistic genres, finding influences in Dadaism and futurist performance. Fluxus breaks away from tradition and encourages the advancement of self-expression through fashion. Fluxus has embodied art in every garment incorporating simple but tactile materials in avant-garde shapes and cuts. Since its inception, Fluxus has opened retail stores that stretch from Los Angeles to Santa Monica.
Fluxus celebrates the relationship between everyday life and art, blending and connecting different artistic media and intermingling different philosophies and cultures. Fluxus does not believe in outsourcing. Everything in our Los Angeles infrastructure is vertically integrated, from conceptualization and manufacturing to retail.
