Experimenting with stocking fabric in 1992, Melbourne designer Melma Hamersfeld transformed one stretchy piece of material into a concept for the international fashion brand - Metalicus.

Metalicus is a fashion bodywear label with a pared down aesthetic which translates into wearable lifestyle pieces designed for layering or to be worn as simple basics.

The collection of separates is distinctive due to the use of two way stretch "one size" fabrications with constantly changing on-trend styling and seasonal colour palettes.

As the brand has developed, so has the product offering and today our collection includes Cotton, Wool and Bodytight and much, much more. In 2003, Mini and Miss Metalicus arrived with the concept of 'stretch as you grow' to cater for tots and tweens.

From our Headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, Metalicus creates collections that are Australian designed with universal appeal.
