Designer Amanda Gilham has a desire for everyone to stand out, no matter how big or small the occasion, and provides no excuse through her designer label MIMOSA.

Amanda has enjoyed a colourful 20 year journey in the Australian fashion industry designing successful brands Endless Spirit, Earth Angel, Grab and more recently the highly acclaimed sister label to Mimosa, the designer Kaftan label, Phyllis Boho.

During an exciting 4 year excursion to Hong Kong, the Mimosa label was conceived and launched in 2008. With the Hong Kong office well established to manage sourcing and production, Amanda moved back to Australia, trading in her home town of Melbourne for the eclectic lifestyle epicentre of Australia, Byron Bay.

The Mimosa Design Studio was established in 2009 with a team of extremely talented like minded individuals attracted to the allure of the Byron life style and the natural inspiration it provides to be creative.

With an ardent belief that the best style is only as good as the quality of the fabric it's made from, luxurious fabrications and stunning exclusive prints provide the signature to each Mimosa collection. An obsession with quality silk ensures continuous travel throughout the Orient beating a direct path to world class fabric mills.

Much of Mimosa's enormous popularity can be attributed to a simple philosophy: designer fashion should not be outrageously expensive. Mimosa designs are highly desirable yet surprisingly accessible.

Mimosa is presented exclusively in David Jones Department store across Australia, along with a selection of the best independent fashion boutiques across the Southern and Northern Hemisphere.
