Running Bare Australia Pty Ltd (RBA) originated in 1983 and began as a small operation specialising in swimwear and activewear. Brian Powell and Corin Powell are the founders and owners of the company and with an extensive knowledge of textiles and the fitness industry behind them, they decided to manufacture and market the product themselves. Beginning with a licensing deal with Warner Bros., for Ghostbusters merchandise, RBA was born. From humble beginnings RBA has grown, both in size and stature. RBA now has 55 staff members, including sales representatives in NSW and Victoria. RBA is represented in QLD, WA, SA and Tasmania by agents.

With the huge focus on fitness and the aerobics boom of the 80's there was a void in the market place for a fashion line of activewear. After recognising this gap Running Bare was launched as a self-titled range into the market. We are proud to say 'Running Bare' is now the leading Australian women's activewear brand in the market. Our Australian retailers include Rebel Sport, Amart All Sports, Sportspower and individual stores/boutiques in every town and every suburb across the country (stockist listing link). Running Bare has launched flagship stores in the iconic Queen Victoria Building and another alongside the most famous beach in the country - Bondi.
